Pot dispensary site faces opposition – Danbury News Times

“The risks of this dispensary don’t have to be borne by the small little section of Bethel of Stony Hill,” Moore said. “If it goes bad, the effects of that are going to be borne by the folks in Stony Hill more than anybody else, and I don’t think that’s necessarily fair.”

Last week, after learning town zoning officials had approved a proposal to open the dispensary at 4 Garella Road, Moore and resident Philip Lombino filed documents to overturn the decision at the Zoning Board of Appeals. Both men live within a quarter-mile of the site.

D&B Wellness Inc., owned by Angela D’Amico and Karen Barski, both of Trumbull, got approval for the dispensary May 13 from town zoning official Steven Palmer after a weeklong administrative review of their application.
