RICHMOND — Masked men robbed four pounds of pot from a marijuana dispensary general manager Sunday night, police said.

The manager of Holistic Healing Marijuana Collective, located at 15501 San Pablo Ave., was leaving work at about 10:15 p.m. when one of two masked robbers pulled out a gun and demanded the pot, said Sgt. Nicole Abetkov.

A short time later, an officer spotted the gold Chrysler PT Cruiser getaway car, but the driver fled and was not caught, Abetkov said. However, officers stopped a car seen with the PT Cruiser and found about a pound of marijuana inside linked to the earlier robbery.

The driver, 38-year-old Walton Mize, was arrested for possession and transportation of marijuana.

Police are also investigating why the marijuana collective’s general manager was leaving the dispensary with four pounds of pot after hours. The dispensary closes at 8 p.m., police said.
