Eugene pot dispensary mistaken for other business after neo-Nazi claims

EUGENE, Ore. – The accusations against the CEO of OG Analytical has created some backlash for another marijuana business because they have similar names.

The Oregonian released a story Wednesday about OG Analytical’s CEO Bethany Sherman being accused of having ties to white power groups.

Lawrence Siskind is one of the owners at Eugene OG, located off of Franklin Boulevard. Siskind said since the story was published his business has received several calls and reviews online from people who are upset and think they are associated with OG Analytical.

Siskind said they are not affiliated with OG Analytical, and that “OG” is a common name in the marijuana industry.

“There’s no place in our industry for discrimination,” Siskind said. “We have customers from all over the world… of all races and all ethnicities.”

Sherman denies being a neo-Nazi and said in a statement released by the Oregonian, “If you have ‘white pride’ it automatically makes you a Nazi, and you are ostracized, attacked, and lynched by your community. I admit, I am proud that I am white, and I’m not ashamed of my heritage.”

KEZI did reach out to Sherman for comment on the accusations but she did not respond.
