Expanding access to medical marijuana may help combat the opioid crisis

SPRINGFEILD, ILL-  The Illinois House Executive Committee is endorsing the plan to expand the access of medical marijuana.  If enacted, the plan would allow people who qualify for opioid prescriptions to apply for the medical cannabis program.

Previously Governor Rauner fought against efforts to expand medical marijuana.

This is an effort to fight the opioid crisis.
