Fla. Medical Pot Provider Challenges Dispensary Limits

Law360 (April 4, 2018, 6:45 PM EDT) — Florida’s largest medical marijuana provider is challenging a state law passed last year that limits medical marijuana treatment centers to 25 dispensaries, arguing the provision stifles competition and arbitrarily and unreasonably deprives it of its property rights.

Trulieve filed suit Monday in state court in Tallahassee against the Florida Department of Health, which is responsible for regulating medical marijuana production and sales in the state.
