Medical Marijuana Dispensary Opens In King Of Prussia

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — The latest medical marijuana dispensary in Pennsylvania has now opened its doors in King of Prussia.

Keystone Shops officially opened their location on 367 S. Henderson Road earlier this month.

The dispensary joins numerous others in the Philadelphia suburbs which have opened up shop over the last several weeks and months, including nearby shops in Phoenixville and Plymouth Meeting.

Patients who want to access medical marijuana must obtain a physician’s certification from an approved doctor proving that they suffer from one of 17 serious medical conditions. A registration process is then required for patients to receive a medical marijuana card, allowing them access to state-licensed dispensaries.

Keystone, which also operates a Devon store, offers customers the opportunity to schedule consultations with medical professionals on-site.

According to the state, more than 16,600 patients have registered to participate in the medical marijuana program, and more than 3,800 of them have already been certified by a physician.

The state’s medical marijuana program was signed into law in April 2016. Full implementation of the medical marijuana program, including the approval of more locations to sell to patients, is expected at some point in 2018.

Keystone is open in King of Prussia from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesdays through Saturdays.
