A medical marijuana dispensary, Nature’s Medicines, has planted itself in State College.
Located at 2105 N Atherton St., the dispensary opened its doors for the first time today.
Angel Rodriguez, store manager for Nature’s Medicines said he is beyond overwhelmed and excited.
“An hour before we opened, we already had people waiting,” Rodriguez said.
While doors opened today, a grand opening ceremony is slated for June 27.
From there after, the store will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday.
However, Rodriguez said as he adds more staff members to Nature’s Medicines, additional days may be added in the future.
Rodriguez said each client must come in with an ID and patient card to verify they can receive medicinal marijuana.
Products Nature’s Medicines offers include vaporization, oils, waxes, patches, vapor pens and much more.
Depending on what each patient may need, prices can range anywhere from $5 to $80.
“We want to have the best medicine, the best variety and the cheapest price,” Rodriguez said. “Our philosophy is we just want people to get help and get what they need.”
