Point of Interest: Stamford Zoning Board hears latest pot dispensary proposal

Updated 2:42 pm, Tuesday, June 19, 2018 64 Magee Ave.: The Zoning Board heard another proposal this week to open an East Side medical marijuana dispensary. Nearly half a dozen other dispensary applications have been filed for East Side locations and just one — at 75 Research Drive — for anywhere else in the city. Unlike the other East Side applications, which all hope to open in a shopping plaza at 806 E. Main St., the latest proposal is for an old toy store near the edge of Shippan. If approved by the Zoning Board, potential dispensers still need a green light from Connecticut officials, who have said they plan to award three applications statewide.
